Letter From Our Director....
Thursday, May 10, 2012
BCSD Letterhead

May 10, 2012

Dear Parent(s),

My name is Debi Gutknecht and I am the Director of Student Services.  As the director, I am responsible for supervising special education for Blaine County School District. The Idaho State Department of Education has recently informed me that they will be gathering information from parents of students who receive special education services.  This information will be collected through a written survey.  As part of Idaho’s State Department of Education Performance Plan, you may be randomly selected to participate in this survey. If chosen, you will receive a one-page letter explaining the process and 25 survey questions to answer. The survey will be written in English and Spanish (the reverse side). The survey will be mailed to each chosen parent by Piedra Data Services in June and will include a prepaid envelope to return the survey.

This survey is important to complete and I kindly ask you to take the time to respond to the questions. The results will be collected, analyzed, and available on the State Department of Education’s website in the fall of 2012.

If you have further questions, please feel free to call me for clarification.

With Kind Regards,

Debi Gutknecht

Director of Student Services

Blaine County School District

208-578-5004
