5th Grade Students Tour Washington D.C.

Hemingway Elementary teacher Sandy Scott took students to Washington D.C. – an annual tradition for five years. She writes, “we went to Williamsburg, Jamestown and the Capitol in five action-packed days. We visited museums, memorials, and monuments. We lived history in historic places and the experience reinforced many things we’ve learned in the classroom, particularly civics lessons during our visits to the Supreme Court, the Capitol and the White House.”
