Students participating in the Hailey Elementary Science Fair had an opportunity to also compete in the Tournament of Innovation sponsored by the Discovery Center of Idaho. The Tournament of Innovation is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) competition for students in grades K-12 to promote creative thinking and integrate all areas of STEM.
Hailey students and brothers Alex Baker, 4th grade and Luke Baker, 1st grade, won "Best of Category for Science Experiments," for grades K-8 at the Idaho state finals and received a $125 saving bond...

Congratulations to Wood River High School Senior Ryan Buell, a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Students are qualified based on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Out of 1.5 million entrants, 16,000 students were named Semifinalists last fall. Semifinalists are the highest scorers in each state, accounting for less than 1% of seniors statewide...
