Culinary students at Wood River High School are the state champions for two years in a row at the Idaho State Leadership Conference for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. Wood River High School teacher Tim Richards was selected to attend the Foundation for Teaching Economics conference Perspectives From and On the Federal Reserve System at the Federal Reserve of Richmond. Music Students Stand Out

Over 160 musicians, the choirs, orchestras, and bands from Wood River High School, attended the Heritage Music Festival on April 14 in Anaheim, California. All of the participating groups won awards for their performances, competing among over 2600 students from around the United States. Students participating in the Hailey Elementary Science Fair had an opportunity to also compete in the Tournament of Innovation sponsored by the Discovery Center of Idaho. The Tournament of Innovation is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) competition for students in grades K-12 to promote creative thinking and integrate all areas of STEM.

Hailey students and brothers Alex Baker, 4th grade and Luke Baker, 1st grade, won "Best of Category for Science Experiments," for grades K-8 at the Idaho state finals and received a $125 saving bond... FULL STORY

Congratulations to Wood River High School Senior Ryan Buell, a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Students are qualified based on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Out of 1.5 million entrants, 16,000 students were named Semifinalists last fall. Semifinalists are the highest scorers in each state, accounting for less than 1% of seniors statewide... FULL STORY
