Summer Vacation for the Bellevue Bears

Students from Blaine County School District are officially on summer break. We've had a busy few weeks of culminating activities to wrap up this 2009-2010 school year. The staff at Bellevue Elementary School would like to wish our fifth graders the best of luck as they advance their education at the Wood River Middle School.
Our school will be experiencing extensive construction this summer with the installation of a new geothermal heating system. Our new school year will begin after Labor Day, September 7th. If you need to contact us prior to the start of school, please leave a message at our school office, 578-5080. Thank you for another terrific school year and have a wonderful summer break.

College Aspirations Project Scholars
College Aspirations Project Scholars
from Bellevue Elementary and Wood River Middle School
Adopt the Blaine County Bike Path.
Under the direction of Krista Jones, more than 100 third through sixth grade Mentors and Mentees from Bellevue Elementary and Wood River Middle School spent last Friday cleaning up trash along our Blaine County Bike path, from Power Engineers to the Bellevue Bowling Alley. This path-clean up will become an annual community service event for the C.A.P. Scholars. They are also working with the Blaine County Recreation District to have signs posted that pledge the C.A.P. Scholars’ responsibility and commitment to keeping this area of our valley’s path system trash-free.
These Bellevue and Wood River students are a part of the College Aspirations Project; a rapidly-growing group of students setting their sights on College, and learning to be Leaders and Mentors. C.A.P.is made possible through a partnership between the Blaine County School District, Lee Pesky Learning Center, Marshall Bennett Education Initiative, and College For Every Student.

We are the Bellevue Bears...
Welcome to the electronic home of the Bellevue Bears! I am your
principal, Angie Martinez.
Our caring staff of
50 talented staff members currently serves approximately 300
students between Preschool and 5th grade. We also house the
District’s Kindergarten and First Grade Dual Immersion Program
and provide on-site childcare through Kid Shop.
In addition to a comprehensive academic curriculum, our
students are offered specialized instruction in music, art,
integrated science and technology, physical education, and
computers. A complete Student Services Department provides
specialized instruction to students with academic challenges.
We provide students with advanced learning enrichment
opportunities, and a variety of other enhancement offerings such
as Chess Club, After School Program, Honor Choir, Orchestra, Ski
Program, and the Radio Program. We take pride in Bellevue
Elementary! It is a thoughtful and caring place: We care
for others and respect the opportunity to learn.
BES rocks!
We sport red, black and gold as our school colors. Homer Junior is our mascot and traveling companion. He takes many fabulous trips across the country with our students. We acknowledge neighborly behavior in developing strong character through Beary Good Neighbor Notes and our community service projects.
We welcome our parents to our school and extend our invitation to you!
