Professonal Collaboration Day

  Susan Cooper - BES Presenter

Have you ever wondered what BCSD employees are doing on days students are dismissed for Professional Collaboration Days?  Here are a few photos from Friday's early release day.

As our district moves toward 21st Century Skills, Bellevue Elementary staff learns specific techniques to encourage and facilitate "thinking" from occupational therapist, Susan Cooper. Her presentation built an understanding of developmental levels to support students capacity to problem solve and "think".

After Susan's presentation, staff had a "peel off" session at Woodside Elementary to learn about Atomic Learning. BCSD students will greatly benefit from days such as these as we prepare our students for 21st century skills!

Family Math Night - A Big Hit!

Family Math Night was a big hit at Bellevue Elementary!
Check out all of our Math Stars! At Family Math Night, parents and students worked together on fun games and activities that reinforced critical math and problem-solving skills.

The Idaho State Department of Education partnered with the Micron Foundation to distribute free Math Fun d'Mentals kits to school districts across the state. This effort is part of the Idaho Math Initiative, a comprehensive statewide effort to improve student achievement in mathematics.  Check out the wide variety of activites that were targeted for various age groups with
"Math Fun d' Metals".

Thank You to the following people and the entire BES staff!
William Cantrell, Jessica Kolkman, Gary Grose, Ronda Ward, Marilyn Rountree, Desna Smith, Stephanie Gerringa,

Bellevue BearsWelcome to the electronic home of the Bellevue Bears!  I am your principal, Angie Martinez.

Our caring staff of 50 talented staff members currently serves approximately 300 students between Preschool and 5th grade. We also house the District’s Kindergarten and First Grade Dual Immersion Program and provide on-site childcare through Kid Shop.

In addition to a comprehensive academic curriculum, our students are offered specialized instruction in music, art, integrated science and technology, physical education, and computers. A complete Student Services Department provides specialized instruction to students with academic challenges.

We provide students with advanced learning enrichment opportunities, and a variety of other enhancement offerings such as Chess Club, After School Program, Honor Choir, Orchestra, Ski Program, and the Radio Program. We take pride in Bellevue Elementary!  It is a thoughtful and caring place:  We care for others and respect the opportunity to learn.

Bellevue CourtyardBES rocks!   We sport red, black and gold as our school colors. Homer Junior is our mascot and traveling companion. He takes many fabulous trips across the country with our students.  We acknowledge neighborly behavior in developing strong character through Beary Good Neighbor Notes and our community service projects.

We welcome our parents to our school and extend our invitation to you!
