About Carey School
We are the Carey Panthers...
Carey School is located in the middle of the lower half of Idaho between Idaho Falls
and Boise. We serve the rural
 communities of Carey and Picabo.
We have 21 certified teachers and 13 classified staff members
who work hard to provide the very best education to our 243 students
from preschool to 12th grade.
We proudly provide a variety of courses and programs which include Math, English,
Science, Social Studies, ESL, Technology, Business, P.E., Music and Art.
Our Residential Construction Academy offers real hands-on
experience in the building trade. Its students have
already built and sold three homes in Carey!
Carey offers our students the following athletic programs and extracurricular
activities:
- Football (State champions in 2006!)
- Volleyball
- Boys' and girls' basketball
- Cheerleading and dance
- Scholastic team
- To the Max music group
- Drama
- National Honor Society
- Rodeo Club
- Student Council
We take special pride in the Panther Buddy program. A
high school student mentors an elementary school student.
That creates a real sense of community in our school - we do
watch out for one another.
