Carey Students Attend Honors Banquet
Jennifer Cenarrusa and DJ Simpson were selected to represent Carey School at the 4th district honor banquet on April 28th. Each school in the 4th district, similar in size to Carey, sent two students and their parents to the banquet. The selection of the students that attend the banquet is based on their GPA, citizenship, participation in sports and/or activities etc. It is a difficult decision each year to pick a girl and a boy to represent our school with so many to choose from. The banquet is a very nice event with dinner, entertainment, a guest speaker and presentation of the awards. The 4th district is the only district in the state that has an honor banquet. The plaques that are presented to the students are purchased by the coaches association. All in all, it was very nice evening to recognize a couple of our best students. Congratulations Jennifer and DJ!
