The Give Big Event
MEET CHRIS A 2ND GRADER AT HES!
 This is your chance to do something BIG!
Chris suffers from a rare genetic disease called Arnold Chiari Malformation. Wit ACM parts of the brain, usually around the brain stem, are formed abnormally. Chris has undergone brain surgery to remove a small part of the bone at the base of his skull. He may need a second operation.
Come to Hailey Elementary for a
"PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND SILENT AUCTION!"

PTA Treats Teachers To Lunch!
The staff would like to thank the Hailey PTA ~ "Comets" for the lovely "Teacher Appreciation Luncheon". Teachers enjoyed the food, music and the flower seed gifts! The specially marked M&M's that said "Thank You Hailey Comets" in green and white where extra special! Your commitment to our students, staff and our school through the year helps to make our school what it is. Thank you!

Lunch Is Served!
Great job to the 4th grade students who raised a whopping $936.50 in their fundraising restaurant on Tuesday, May 13th. The money will go toward helping Trudy Whaley with her cancer treatment costs. The students worked hard seating, serving, bussing, and waiting on family customers. Three restaurants, The Blue Gondola, The Cheesy Palace, and Trudy's Yummy Tummy all served up pizza, salad, and dessert. A good time was had by all!

HES Spring Performance!
Spring Music Performance By The Fourth And Fifth Graders
Mrs. Schwab and the fourth and fifth graders put on a spectacular spring music performance for other students at HES on Thursday. Fourth Grade students performed “Look Behind As Well As Before”, a folk tale from the Congo. Fifth graders performed “Tikki Tikki Tempo” with the use of a shadow screen. Students created puppets and told the story using the art of shadow puppetry. A dragon full of fifth graders roamed the gym during the story telling. All the students did a great job in their performances and the spectators enjoyed a wonderful show.

4th Grade Families Are Invited For Lunch!
 Hailey Elementary Fourth Graders are excited to be hosting a community service event on Tuesday, May 13th, in support of Trudy Whaley, an inspirational cancer survivor. We have invited our 4th grade families to our classrooms for lunch in a real "restaurant". Students will be wearing many hats, such as server, host, chef, and busser. All proceeds will go toward Trudy's cancer treatment costs. The kids are excited to be learning real life skills and helping out a friend in need!!! So families of our 4th grade students, come join us for lunch!
