About Hemingway Elementary

Hemingway Elementary is located amid the pristine mountains of
the historic Wood River Valley. Situated adjacent to Atkinson's
Park in Ketchum, students have the opportunity to participate in
many after-school activities and organized sports programs.
Hemingway Elementary School serves children from Pre-kindergarten
through fifth grade, with a total school population of about 400
students. We have four classrooms each for grade levels one through
five and three sessions of kindergarten, so class sizes are kept
around twenty students per class.
Students in first through
fifth grades attend school from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Pre-Kindergarten students attend school from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m.
Outside their regular classroom, all students are offered
art, music, physical education, computer lab, and
TECH classes once a week, taught by specialists in those areas.
Along with strong academic programs, students have the
opportunity to participate in either downhill or Nordic skiing
through our school ski program.
