Business and Finance Professional Technical Education Program

What is this program?

HandshakeThe Business and Finance Professional Technical Education Program is a unique, two-year program designed to prepare college or career bound students for a variety of careers in the business field.

The Business and Finance Professional Technical Education Program is a nationally approved and recognized academic program that operates under the umbrella of the National Academy Foundation (NAF). BFA students follow a curriculum that intensively addresses business principles that provides them with a comprehensive picture of career options available within the industry.

BPA (Business Professionals of America) is an integral part of this program, and being a member is required for all Business and Finance students.

Who May Qualify?

A student interested in exploring the career opportunities in the field of business and finance may qualify to enter if he or she:

  • Has taken Computer Applications.
  • Attends all end-of-month meetings.
  • Completes one paid Internship.
  • Applies for one or more scholarships.
  • Purchases one or more dual-enrollment credits through CSI.

PenThis program is designed for students interested in design graphics, financial services, banking and credit, the world of finance, financial planning, economics, securities and insurance.  If you enjoy solving problems, working as a team member in a fast-paced job, working with people, can communicate and produce multi-media programs, then this program is for you.

Course Description

This program includes courses for students who are interested in the field of business and/or finance.  Benefits to students of this program include:

  • Participation in paid internships.
  • Participation in monthly business meetings.
  • Being an employee in the Student Store.
  • Participation in a national conference.
  • Being prepared for the business workforce.
