Information Technology Program
What is the Information Technology Program?
The Information Technology
Program is a unique, two to three-year
program designed to prepare college or career bound students for
a variety of careers in the information technology field.
Students
can take classes that prepare and qualify them to work in
computer related jobs right out of high school. The program
offers paid internships with local businesses that provide real
world experience. High level design and logic curriculum also
makes students better critical thinkers, and provides them with
cognitive and practical skills that will help them succeed in
post-secondary education and beyond.
Full ITA graduates are equally well prepared for the work place,
or any University program, and can even get a head start on
credits.
Information Technology Program students will study the latest in
programming applications, such as C# and Visual Studio 2008. In
the Operating Systems (OS) and Data Types class, students
dual and triple boot, install OSs, use
Linux, and investigate the nuances of data types, file
structures, and implementation/storage methodologies.
The year long A+
Certification class prepares the student for hardware and
software testing with CompTIA, an internationally recognized
leader in certification.
Programming, Video Game Design, and Web Design all empower the
student with design theory, tools, and practice that will allow
them to create in a way that is only limited by their
imagination.
