Performing Arts Academy

What is the Performing Arts Academy?

ImageThe Performing Arts Academy is a two-year program for juniors and seniors.  The curriculum is taught by drama professionals to prepare students for college or a career in the performing arts.  Designed to educate participants in all aspects of theater, the first year concentrates on an overview of backstage and onstage jobs.  During this time, students also intern with local companies and other field professionals to experience, first-hand, the art of acting, movement, design, and management.  The second year of the Academy gives students an opportunity to specialize in one particular aspect of the performing arts.
