  1. Build the tankbot (GO TO HARDWARE > ROBOTS to find building directions)
  2. Open ROBOLAB from your HARD DRIVE > APPLICATIONS> ROBOLAB 254
  3. Create a program that will complete the following items on the CHECKLIST PAGE.
  1. Upload the program to your RCX in program slog #3
  2. Save the program to your student TECH folder as 6second
  3. Show Silvis & have him put put a check mark on the checklist page.
  4. Save the CHECKLIST PAGE to your student folder.

BUG BOT BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS

BUG BOT PROGRAM EXAMPLE - you will have to build this in ROBOLAB

Invention & Innovation

Your task is to invent or innovate a new product using an 8.5" X 11" sheet of acrylic plexiglas. Your will have access to the following tools:

  1. Drill Press
  2. Scroll Saw
  3. Band Saw
  4. Strip Heater
Steps for Completion
  1. Brainstrom ideas (at least 3 different ideas)
  2. Fill out and print the PATENT APPLICATION
  3. Print the Graph Paper and do a Technical drawing of your invention or innovation -- should be drawn full scale.
  4. Submit the Patent application and technical drawings to Mr.Silvis for approval

Ruler Game ---Tuesday March 3rd

Almost everything we do in TECH will be done using measuring. Your assignment is to complete the ruler game. If you are in 7th grade you need to score 1000 points onthe 1/16" level. If you are in the 8th grade, you need to score 2000 points on the 1/16" level.

Once you get your requireds score, have Silvis or Amato sign off in your folder. Call this assignment RULER GAME.

2. Your second task is to download and print the measurement sheet and use a tape measure to complete the worksheet. Please type your name into it before you print. Print to the Phaser printer.
