Gifted and talented students are those students who demonstrate exceptional capabilities that require services beyond the scope of the regular classroom curriculum. The goal of the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) Program
is to to assist gifted students in developing their abilities in order to realize their full potential.
While some parts of the program, like Chess Club, are open to all students, others
use qualification criteria to ensure the best placement and educational plan for individiual students.
