Mrs. Henning

I have been teaching science here at Wood River Middle School since 2008-09. I am a curious person and love to learn, regardless of the subject. My love for the outdoors and this curiosity about the world around me blends well with the world of science. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington, my teaching certificate from Seattle Pacific University, and finally, my Masters degree in Technology in Education through Lesley University. I moved here from Seattle, WA after teaching middle school science there for 15 years. I was lucky enough to receive the Christa McAuliffe Award for Excellence in Education by the State of Washington, and I always strive to bring the same dedication to my students here at Wood River Middle School. One of my greatest loves is travel. I have enjoyed living in England, France, and Switzerland, and I've been lucky enough to travel on 5 continents. Closer to home, I love to alpine and Nordic ski, hike, bike, enjoy my pets, and play my hammer dulcimer.
