Mrs. Hollis
Hi! My name is Alicia Hollis. Originally from Bigfork, Montana, I have lived in Sun Valley for the past 14 years. In 2001, I graduated from Duke University with a BA in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Spanish, as well as my Elementary Education licensure. I immediately moved back to the mountains and began teaching in Aspen, Colorado. After 3 years teaching 4thgrade in Aspen, I moved to Newcastle, Australia to complete a Masters in Educational Studies with a focus on gifted and special education. In 2005, I moved to Sun Valley and began teaching 5thgrade dual immersion (Spanish) at Woodside Elementary. I later transferred to Hemingway and taught 5thgrade dual immersion English/Spanish for a total of 8 years. After time off with my children, I returned to Hemingway STEAM School in 2018 to take on a new role as a reading specialist. I am excited to work with your child to support their reading skills in both English and Spanish this year!
