Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Kimberly Roush

While I grew up in the East Tennessee area, I was quickly drawn to the West.  I earned a Bachelor's at Western State College (Gunnison, CO) in Geology, worked for a few years in oil and gas service, exploration and production sectors in Venezuela, West Virginia and Texas.  Missing my connection to the mountains, I returned to graduate school at Montana State University (Bozeman, MT) where I earned an M.S. studying aqueous geochemistry from a marine sediment core from the Grounding Zone (where the ice sheet transitions from overlying the continental mass to the Ross Sea) in West Antarctica.  I've had the opportunity to teach physical science and AP Environmental Science and look forward to teaching Biology and Earth Science this coming year.

I love giving students the opportunity to learn experientially.  Whether students are digging in the soil or learning to sample water for basic geochemistry, hands-on kinesthetic learning is essential to evolving inner curiosity and tenacity as a scientist in each of us!  I look forward to sharing my excitement for science with each of you!!
