Welcome to Reopening BCSD!
This website is intended to keep the Blaine County School District community informed as we plan for reopening school on August 17. As we work to reopen our schools, we are planning for the health and safety of our students, staff, parents and community members. We anticipate the need for continued flexibility as we work to reduce and respond to COVID-19 outbreaks. Therefore, we are making plans for three basic school attendance models, in the event we need to use all of the models at different times during the year.
We are sharing the Re-Entry Plan for the 2020-21 School Year Draft in an effort to outline the district's plans and help students, staff, parents, and community members plan for returning to school.
We want to hear from each of you as you review the Re-Entry plan. We will be sharing excerpts from the plan throughout the summer. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure students and staff can confidently return to a safe working and learning environment on August 17.
All students attend school with safety precautions of face coverings, hand washing, social distancing as much as possible, and limiting the mixing of students and staff.
Half of the students attend school at one time and half learning from home with staggered school start and end times to provide more space on the bus. K to 3 students would attend 4 days a week. Students in grades 4 to 12 would attend two days a week. All other days are learning from home days.
Distance learning with all students learning from home each day.
