I am a new teacher at Wood River High School. I began teaching (in the traditional sense of the word) three years ago following a 30-year career in environmental communications. I grew up in Texas and New Mexico, and moved to Hailey in 2010. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of New Mexico. I acquired my Idaho teaching certification following successful completion of the ABCTE program and exams. I taught 5th and 6th grades at Syringa Mountain School two years ago, and provided program coordination as well as targeted instruction as the RTI Teacher at Hailey Elementary School last year. I am currently teaching 10th Grade English, Mythology, and Creative Writing. I'm excited to teach here, where my two boys have gone to school.
