Mr. Sanchez

I have had the opportunity to work for the BCSD for seven years and it has been an amazing experience! Teaching is more than just a career, it has become a significant part of life. My main focus is developing a strong relationship with my students, everything else will follow. I have taught 1st Grade Spanish for five years and currently teaching in my second year teaching 2nd Grade. I was born in raised rural Idaho on farm to migrant parents. I attended Boise State University and completed my BA in Elementary Education: Bilingual/ ESL. After a year in the classroom I began my quest for more knowledge. I began to pursue my MA in Bilingual Education in 2010 at BSU, which I completed in 2013. It was a great experience, although it wasn't enough considering my long term goal (becoming a elementary principal) so I decided to continue my education pursuing another MA, this time I decided to focus on Literacy, again from BSU beginning 2013 ( I know.....I bleed blue and orange). Well I completed my second MA in 2014, which was a Masters of Education in Literacy. Whew!!! I was done........Well not necessarily. Beginning in January 2015, I began to pursue my Educational Specialist degree in Administration from the U of I (I know, a Vandal). At this point I have a semester left to complete the program. My next step is to possibly began my journey as a Principal or if not I plan to continue my certification as a Superintendent. Although, I am also planning to possibly begin my doctorate. Education has played an important role in who I am today. I look forward to learning from your child!!!
