Mr. Chris Koch
Hello and welcome!
Let me start by saying, I am really looking forward to an exciting year at Silver Creek High School as the newly appointed Science Teacher.
My career began with Blaine County School District in 2011, as a high school paraprofessional in the Base Room at WRHS. In 2014, I was then hired as a Leadership teacher and part time paraprofessional at Wood River High School. Now lets go back to where it all started, in August of 1992, I earned my Associates Degree in Applied Sciences through the New York Institute of Technology and then completed my Bachelors in Vocational Education through Keene State College in June of 1994. Shortly after graduating I packed up my belonging and drove cross country relocating in Ketchum, Idaho. In 2001, I moved to Bellevue and immediately immersed myself in the City of Bellevue, after a few years I was elected the Mayor of Bellevue, Idaho. Being Mayor has allowed me to give back to the community, but has provided opportunities for BCSD students to get involved within Blaine County, along with other local and global projects. This emanates in and outside of my classroom, together the students and I can engage in a multitude of projects. My philosophy is that giving back to others and living outside of your comfort zone is the only way to live a fulfilling life.
