City of Hailey Completes Safety Lighting Project
The Blaine County School District would like to thank the City of Hailey for completing a safety lighting project at the intersection of Fox Acres and the entrance to Wood River High School and Silver Creek High School.
In the near future, there will be additional lighting installed at the intersection of Elm Street and Second Street, near Hailey Elementary.
For two years, the city has been working on the project with BCSD Director of Buildings and Grounds Howard Royal to get the funding in place.
“Any way we can improve the overall safety of our students is important to our district,” said Jim Foudy, BCSD Superintendent. “We are proud of our partnership with the City of Hailey and we look forward to working on future projects together. On behalf of the district, I would like to extend thanks to our local city officials for their ongoing efforts to improve safety around our buildings.”
More than 1,000 students and staff travel through these intersections daily during the school year.
