Outdoor Classroom Helps Students Discover Their Talents
Personal growth takes many forms throughout a lifetime. Through the VOICE II program, students are stretching and growing by getting outside their comfort zone, both figuratively and literally. Instructor Jamie Ellison takes students to the Heyspur Fish Hatchery to learn how to manage fish in the hatchery. Ellison said, “There were many uncomfortable things the students had to try for the first time, from climbing inside a tank to wearing unfamiliar gear. We have one student who has become so engaged with this weekly project that it’s the highlight of his week.” Click here for more photos and the VOICE II Facebook page.
