Engaged Students
Students from Ernest Hemingway STEAM School and Bellevue Elementary hiked to Baker Lake and took their science lessons outdoors, despite the snow on the ground and the chilly temperatures. The fifth grade science curriculum includes studies of erosion and fossils. The hike to Baker Lake provides students with the opportunity to make their own scientific observations and take those back to the classroom where the learning continues. Thanks to the staff and parents who make this outdoor learning adventure possible.
