Schools Opening with Plan B
It is my pleasure to welcome you to what is sure to be a very unique 2020-21 school year. On August 6, the BCSD Board of Trustees voted to start school this year with PLAN B. This means ALL students whose last name begins with A-L will be attending school in person on Mondays and Wednesdays. And ALL students whose last name begins with M-Z will attend school in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fridays will be a day for virtual class meetings, interventions, small group work etc. On the 'in person' days students will have a regular schedule with Specials, intervention/enrichment time, recess, lunch and incorporation of STEAM learning throughout the day. During 'in person' learning students will take mask breaks and work outside frequently. During their 'off days' students will have assignments to complete virtually as well as an opportunity to watch live streaming of their classroom. We plan to have daily classroom meetings that students will participate in either 'in person' or virtually.
