Silver Creek High School
My name is Lissette Molina, I’m a 401 (Senior) at Silver Creek High School, and I will be graduating in June this year. I am very interested in psychology and love working with kids. This year I felt the pressure of figuring out what I will be doing once I graduate. I don’t want to waste my time studying something I don’t actually enjoy, so this year my focus was to find out what I wanted to do. Eager to start figuring that out, I landed an internship with Hailey Elementary. Here I was able to learn more about the school system. I was able to work in the front desk, talking to parents and being a messenger between teachers. I was also able to work with students in a classroom setting and was able to play a leadership role while being there. My internship helped me talk to mentors, manage my time wisely, and it taught me patience. The most important thing it did for me was help me decide my future career. Working with the students helped me decide I’d like be a social worker or children's psychologist. This opportunity also gave me a chance to grow, and to try something new and exciting. Thank you Hailey Elementary and all my mentors for giving me an experience I will never forget!
