Students Give Back to Our Community
Wood River High School juniors took to the trails and community last week participating in Junior Service Day. Students worked in teams to volunteer at the Animal Shelter, Hailey Public Library, BLOOM Farm, Colorado Gulch, Blaine County Recreation District's Arboretum, Hailey Ice, Wood River Land Trust's Building Materials Thrift Store, and Draper Preserve. Math teacher Chris Hansen wrote, “We were very fortunate to have such awesome partners to work with our students and demonstrate the many ways to give back to our community. Our students had a great time working hard and establishing relationships with the non-profits that do so much good for the Wood River Valley.”
