BCSD to Offer Free Summer Meals for All Children

The Blaine County School District will once again offer free meals to all children between the ages of one and 18 this summer!

 

The program, made possible through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will include free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches. Meal pickup begins Monday, June 14 and runs through Thursday, August 5. Children do not need to be BCSD students to receive meals. 

 

Families can pick up the meals Monday through Friday, at the following locations and times:

 

BCSD Community Campus

1050 Fox Acres Road, Hailey

  • June 14-August 5

  • 9:00-9:30 a.m. (AM snack)

  • 12:00-12:30 p.m. (lunch)

 

Alturas Elementary School

1111 Alturas Elementary Lane, Hailey

  • June 21-July 30

  • 8:15-8:45 a.m. (breakfast)

  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (lunch)

 

Hemingway STEAM School

111 8th Street W, Ketchum 

  • June 21-July 9

  • 9:00-9:30 a.m. (AM snack)

  • 12:00-12:30 p.m. (lunch)

 

Bellevue Elementary School

305 N. 5th Street, Bellevue

  • June 28-July 30

  • 8:15-8:45 a.m. (breakfast)

  • 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. (lunch)

 

Please note that all sites will be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day.

 

Curbside meals will be prepared and packaged for pickup and are meant to be eaten off-site. The meals may contain ready-to-eat foods, refrigerated items, or frozen foods that require heating before consumed. Heating and handling instructions will be provided when necessary.
