Recognizing Excellence: Christina Diaz & Millie Lee

The BCSD Board of Trustees is thrilled to recognize Wood River High School Secretaries Christina Diaz and Millie Lee!

The following accolade was submitted by WRHS Spanish Teacher Erika Greenberg:

Christina Diaz and Millie Lee have changed the face of Wood River High School. These were hard shoes to fill, and these two have risen to the occasion.

Millie has been an incredible addition to our attendance position, helping to hold kids accountable. She has battled student resistance and maintained the building guidelines. She is competent, kind, and a boss at the entrance.

Christina has jumped into head secretary and handled everything staff and admin has thrown at her. She has tackled finding subs and getting coverage and at times, steps into the classrooms herself to cover. She is organized, helpful, and approachable. She happily translates intercom messages to the school in Spanish, and when she can’t answer the question, she finds the answer.

These two are a force and their work is moving our school in a positive direction.
