Recognizing Excellence: Caroline Grist

BCSD

The BCSD Board of Trustees is delighted to acknowledge Caroline Grist in her role as the Engineering and Design Teacher at Hailey Elementary School.

The following accolade was submitted by Instructional Technology Specialist/Website Coordinator Robin Walker:

I would like to nominate Caroline Grist for an accolade. Caroline has been a tremendous asset to Hailey Elementary’s Comet Team as our Engineering and Design Teacher.

Caroline expands her love for teaching into other areas throughout our school to not only include E & D, but also to help our students with Math and Reading support. Caroline helps teachers with assessments to run successful Math groups and Reading support.

Caroline produces HES Comet News, does a school-wide Itze mystery that students love, works, and collaborates with other teachers and staff members to further enhance students' learning by integrating that learning into her Engineering and Design classes. Caroline’s projects have students learning in a fun engaging way that is helping them to thrive and be successful students.

Caroline is an amazing person. She has encouraged me to think outside the box. Collaborating and working with her on student projects and as a team member helps me to strengthen my skills in ways that I can then bring to my students in ITS class. Caroline is amazing at what she does and is always problem-solving or creating new lessons to engage and encourage student learning.

As a co-worker, she is always willing to step up and go above and beyond to help others. She is a phenomenal person in her thought processes and finding solutions to problems. Our students and staff are very lucky to have someone with her drive and enthusiasm at our school.

I appreciate her!
