The BCSD Board of Trustees is thrilled to recognize Hemingway STEAM School music teacher Tiffany Herb!

The following accolade was submitted by Hemingway Engineering Design Teacher Scott Slonim: 

I am writing this accolade for Tiffany Herb, the music teacher at Hemingway STEAM School. 

Tiffany is an amazing educator in so many different ways. She is calm, gentle and loving with her students. Every student in the class is treated with kindness, and she makes sure every student feels loved and appreciated. 

Tiffany also produces amazing winter and spring music programs. In the most recent winter program, every student played an instrument. It was incredible to see kindergarten, second and fourth graders all playing some type of instrument and singing and dancing so beautifully. You can just see the confidence that Tiffany instills in her students. 

Tiffany has also started working with students who need some extra help and can benefit from music therapy. This is something new she has studied and is excited about. I love hearing her talk about music therapy as she is so passionate about it. 

In addition, Tiffany teaches different instruments before and after school to middle school students.

Lastly, I am fortunate enough to be on a team with Tiffany, and she is always positive in our meetings, and someone with whom I really enjoy working. My son loves going to his music special, and I’m so grateful that she is his music teacher. We are so fortunate to have Tiffany at Hemingway STEAM School!
