The BCSD Board of Trustees is thrilled to recognize Wood River High School Librarian Kari Haugen!

The following accolade was submitted by Wood River Middle School Principal Donna Pierson: 

I would like to acknowledge the amazing work of Kari Haugen from Wood River High School. 

Kari has gone above and beyond helping us at WRMS with the transition to Schoology and PowerSchool. She has taken time out of her workday, on several occasions, to actually come to the middle school to meet with teachers. During these meetings, she has provided very effective training in both PowerSchool and Schoology. She takes the time to address issues teachers are struggling with and helps them navigate through the challenges. 

She also makes herself available by email or phone for anything, anytime. If she doesn't know, she finds out and shares. She "fixes" the behind-the-scenes issues and never makes anyone feel like they are a disruption. She has been selfless in this valuable service and has a kind, caring demeanor in giving of her time and knowledge to serve the greater good. 

In addition to supporting the middle school, I know she supports other schools and serves in her own full-time position as a librarian. I am so grateful for her willingness to serve the teachers, staff, and students in this way. Thank you, Kari! You are amazing!
