The BCSD Board of Trustees is thrilled to recognize Wood River High School, Silver Creek High School, and Carey School College/Career Counselor Liz Clark and Wood River High School College/Career Counselor Hallie Star!

The following accolade was submitted by WRHS Principal Julia Grafft:

We would like to recognize Hallie Star and Liz Clark for their outstanding dedication and commitment to supporting families and students in securing federal student aid. Their efforts earned WRHS recognition as a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) School of Excellence! 

This recognition was awarded to schools that met or exceeded their FAFSA completion rates from the previous year. Despite the challenges surrounding FAFSA last year, Hallie and Liz went above and beyond to support students and families through the financial aid process. Their perseverance, guidance, and unwavering advocacy ensured that more students had access to the resources they needed to pursue higher education.

Their efforts not only secured this award but, more importantly, opened doors of opportunity for countless students. We extend our heartfelt appreciation for their leadership and dedication. This year, their efforts are no different. We are extremely grateful to have them on staff.
