Outdoor Education Expands
Thanks to the voters of Blaine County who supported the Supplemental Levy, the proposed 2018-19 budget will allocate $100 per student in grades 6-8 throughout the entire Blaine County School District for outdoor education. Schools can supplement this funding through their own budgets or fundraising. Outdoor education programs include the annual trip to Yellowstone for students in grade 6 at Carey School, the expanded Outdoor Recreation Program for students in grade 8 at Wood River Middle School, the Residential Outdoor Education School at Cathedral Pines for students in grade 6 at Wood River Middle School and the McCall Outdoor Science School for students in grades 6 and 7 at Hemingway STEAM School.
