Kelly Cuskey

Born and raised in the Wood River Valley, Kelly Cuskey (Choma) is an educator with deep local roots. After completing her high school education in the area, she pursued higher education at the University of North Dakota, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education followed by a master’s degree in special education.

Kelly’s early teaching career included extensive work in providing individualized educational interventions in North Dakota and Washington State.  In 2009, Kelly's devotion to her family led her back to Blaine County where she assumed the role of special education parent liaison. In this capacity, she helped families navigate and utilize essential services and launched parenting programs within the district.

Kelly transitioned to teaching at Silver Creek High School in 2015, initially part-time, before taking on a full-time role as an academic support teacher the following year. Today, she helps to foster the academic success of the diverse student body by providing personalized support to SCHS students.

Beyond the classroom, Kelly is a dedicated mother to three children and co-owner of a used book distribution company with her husband, where she combines her passion for literature with her entrepreneurial spirit. Her personal hobbies include spending time with her family, tackling the challenge of escape rooms, watching Netflix, and traveling to Disneyland when funds allow.
