Today a small group of Silver Creek Students went to Mountain Humane to walk dogs and socialize with the cats. Pictured are Melanie, Pricilla & Anna with Xena. This is part of an elective class called Giving Back, where students work with different non-profits in our community. It is designed for students to understand the importance of giving back to their community and doing good for others. We hope this provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Their role as a volunteer also gives them a sense of pride and identity.
