Last semester Silver Creek High School students participated in an eight-week avalanche workshop. With the help of Jon Preuss from Sun Valley Guides, the students learned the basics of backcountry avalanche rescue. They all received a Level 1 avalanche certificate upon completion of the course requirements and assessments. The course ended with a two day trip to the Boulder Yurt.
