  • We are the Carey Panthers and we are a Leadership School!

    Carey School is located in South central Idaho between Idaho Falls and Boise. We serve the rural communities of Carey and Picabo.

    We proudly teach and live the 7 Habits of Highley Effective Peole, Teens, and Kids and provide a variety of courses and programs which include Math, English, Science, Social Studies, ESL, Technology, World Language, Business, P.E., Music, and Art.  Last years senior class graduated with 231 college credits and a couple of years ago, two of our students graduated from the College of Southern Idaho two weeks before graduating from Carey School.  We offer dual credit classes in Senior English, Success 101, US History, College Alg. and Trig., Biology, and Accounting.  We also offer AP classes in Calculus, and Art. 

    Our Residential Construction Academy offers hands-on experience in the building trade. The Carey School students have built five houses and the district has sold all of them.  House number six will begin being built this school year.

    We have 21.5 certified teachers, one counselor, one librarian, two secretaries, and 5.5 classified staff members who work hard to provide the very best education to our 252 students from preschool to 12th grade.

    Carey students have the opportunity to graduate with a very good education, ready for their next challenge, whatever that might be.  The majority of our graduates attend college and graduate with 4 year degrees.
