Science and nature have always created awe and curiosity in me since a young child. Growing up, I remember gathering rocks for my rock collection, raising animals on the farm, collecting & pressing plants, camping and hiking, watching nature documentaries, and I just love learning new things. I've lived in Idaho Falls, Georgia, South Carolina, Brasil, Rexburg, Pocatello, Wendell, Bliss, and the best little town of Carey. Living in Brasil (yes with an s), I learned a new language, new culture, how amazing people are, and changed my perspective on life in so many ways. My formal education was at  Bonneville High School, Rick's College(A.A.&S. in Natural Science), Idaho State University (B.S. in Secondary Education, Natural Science, & Sociology) and a Masters in Instructional Technology.  This led me to be a district technology coordinator and love technology and the potential tool it can be to unlock learning.  Recently, I added a physical education endorsement to teach junior high sports. I love coaching young people, and have coached since 1998, from t-ball and rec sports to varsity football and basketball.  In Carey, I get to teach amazingly intelligent young men and women. I feel strongly that if I treat young people respectfully, and as the great people they are, then they will thrive and gain confidence to successfully navigate life and become what I expect. One of my favorite quotes is by Henry Ford, who said,"Whether you think you can or you think you can't-You're right."
