I am proud to say I work for Blaine County School District as a School Social Worker for Hemingway Elementary and Carey Schools. I graduated from Walla Walla College with my Masters Degree in Social Work in August 2006 and began working at Hemingway the same time. I currently work at Hemingway 4 days a week and Carey 1 day. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Idaho. I received my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Idaho State University in 2001 and worked in Blackfoot, Idaho for the juvenile justice and child protection systems prior to my current job. I enjoy working with youth in the educational setting and strive to be a positive and safe person for students to seek support from.
In my spare time I am a real life cowgirl. I enjoy riding and training horses with my husband. We are avid competitors of team roping and often spend weekends at team roping competitions. I am a "header", meaning I rope the steer by the horns and my partner, the "heeler", ropes the back legs. I am literally a "take the bull by the horns" kind of girl!
