Three days and two nights of outdoor adventure education for Carey 5th-graders at the Idaho Base Camp Big Lost Campus.
From morning mindfulness in the sustainable Borah Basin building, to learning how to build shelters and start fires, to team-building games, to STEAM-aligned curriculum in the outdoor classroom, the students were fully immersed in the outdoors, creating a strong connection with the surrounding wilderness and each other.
Through their experience, they came home with a greater sense of how to embody 3 important core values in their daily lives: Personal Responsibility, Courage, and Respect for All.
