Kristen has a life-long love of art and art making. She graduated with a master's in art education from Syracuse University. Kristen has been teaching art in various settings for 12 years and as a certified art teacher for the past 5 years. 

Kristen grew up in Idaho and has lived most of her life in both northern and southern parts of the state. She lived in New York state for 9 years. During that time, she traveled the eastern part of the country, found a love for the Maine coast and earned her Art Education degree. She moved back to Idaho in 2021 and is so glad to be back in the mountains and natural beauty of Idaho. 

When not exploring the art world with kids at school, Kristen enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, playing outside, art making and spending time with her daughter and husband at home.

She is eager to build relationships with the students here at Alturas Elementary and is excited to become part of our community here at school.
