The love of learning begins at an early age. If children TRULY BELIEVE that learning is exciting, they will be curious and eager learners throughout their life. I always knew I wanted to work with children and make a true difference in their lives and future. During your child's year in kindergarten, I hope to help "light the fire" of learning. I earned a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Lander University. I graduated in 1999. Upon graduation, I was hired as a kindergarten teacher in South Carolina, where I taught for 3 years. After those 3 beginning years, I felt the west calling. I moved to Alaska and taught kindergarten for 1 year. I met my "person," and followed him to Idaho, where I was hired in 2004. I taught special education for 1 year, while working on my Master's in that area. While I have had the opportunity to teach in other grade levels and areas, I have found my true calling in kindergarten. After 16 years of teaching, I love my job even more and I love the opportunity I am given in molding the leaders of tomorrow.
