Hi!  I am Star Neely.  My family is new to the Wood River Valley but we are so excited to be in one of the most beautiful places around!  I received my education degree from Union University in Jackson, TN.  I have taught almost every grade from kindergarten to 6th grade and spent one year as an assistant teacher in a Special Education classroom.  My last five years of teaching have been in the Salt Lake City area in 1st and 2nd grades.  At that school we had a very high number of English Language Learners, so I went to Southern Utah University and got my English as a Second Language endorsement. When I am not teaching, I love to bike, hike and kayak with my husband and children and also love to roast coffee and bake!  I am so excited to be a part of Alturas Elementary.
