What is Dual Immersion?
Alturas is Blaine County School District's magnet school for Dual Immersion Language Learning. Students at our school learn academic content in both Spanish and English. Alturas staff work in teams of two teachers (1 English speaker and 1 Spanish speaker) to provide a 50:50 language model to cultivate bilingual and biliterate learners.
