Construction Students Listen and Learn At Sun Valley

WRHS Construction Academy Students from the WRHS Construction Academy (pictured to the right with Doug Brown from SVED, third from right, and Greg Urbany, far right) attended the Sun Valley Economic Development Summit in Sun Valley.   State Farm Insurance/Patrick Buchanan, Magleby Construction, the Board of Realtors, Cox Business and Power Engineers provided scholarships for the students to attend.  The summit focused on workforce housing.  Students listened to panels of local professionals discussing potential solutions to the challenges of workforce housing in Blaine County and how a public private partnership might benefit the expansion of workforce housing in Blaine County.  Assistant Superintendent John Blackman served on a panel discussing how housing impacts recruitment for the Blaine County School District.
