Students Celebrate Dia de los Muertos
Wood River Middle School students built a school altar for Dia de los Muertos. Students in Yesenia Guevara’s Dual Immersion class collaborated with students in Tristan Gralenski’s English as Second Language classes. Gralenski wrote, “Students brought in items to honor their deceased loved ones and placed favorite foods, drinks, and other items on the altar to welcome the returning spirits. The ESL students also wrote paragraphs to accompany their altar items and decorated traditional Dia de los Muertos skulls.”
