Mrs. Broderick

Working with children is one of the very best parts of my life. I love the creativity, honesty, friendships, laughter, kindness, singing, dancing, curiosity, hilarity, and hugs … that fill elementary classrooms. I believe that children should have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves and explore their interests. I do my best to create an engaging environment that provokes ideas, problem-solving, critical thinking, and thoughtful decisions while also fostering independence, respect, academic growth and creativity.

Prior to teaching 1st Grade at Hailey, I taught Kindergarten and PreKindergarten at Hemingway STEAM School. Before that, I worked with students as young as 3 years old up through high school. I have a Masters in Reading Instruction from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. I live in Hailey with my husband, our two daughters (also Comets!), and our cat, Oreo. When I'm not teaching, I love to travel, get outdoors, read, try new foods, and spend time with my family and friends.

I feel very fortunate to be a part of this amazing community! Go Comets!
