My name is Sarah Polk and this is my 16th year working as a special education teacher for Blaine County School District.  I have had the opportunity to work at Hemingway Elementary School, Bellevue Elementary School, Woodside  Elementary School, now Alturas and now Hailey Elementary School.  I joined the Comet team four years ago.  I am just returning from a sabbatical year.  I spent the time traveling with my husband in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Antarctica.  I am so happy to be back at Hailey Elementary!  Before leaving last spring I completed an endorsement in English Language Development at Boise State University.  I also have a Master’s degree and certification in Special Education.

While not at school, I enjoy spending time in the mountains with my husband and two daughters, who are 23 and 21.
