I am a dedicated educator with over 24 years of experience in teaching, focused on fostering a love for reading and learning. I taught 6th grade at Wood River Middle School for 8 years, enhancing students' critical thinking, through teaching science, math, and health, while contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.  

Following this, I served as a 5th Grade Teacher at Hailey Elementary School for 16 years, where I inspired students through innovative lesson plans that catered to diverse learning styles, while creating a nurturing classroom environment. 

Currently, I am a Literacy Teacher for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders here at Hailey Elementary School, where I conduct small group interventions and aim to instill a love for reading and writing in the students. 

As a Literacy Coach and member of the Building Leadership Team (BLT), I collaborate on school-wide initiatives while also collaborating with fellow teachers in literacy instruction. My enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to literacy education drives me to inspire both students and fellow educators. Through my extensive experience and dedication to literacy I feel I have significantly impacted my students and the teaching community.
